Motocross Madness 2 Page 2
Music please!
As I mentioned before, the intro music is just awesome! The in-game music is good but not excellent. It never bored me but it's satisfied enough to let it on. The sounds effects, especially from your bike are very realistic. They're just perfect. Really, there is nothing to argue about.
Graphics
When I first played the game, I was sold immediately. Developer, 'Rainbow Studios' did a great job here in creating more then just a racing title. The game engine is state of the art. Even with older video cards like a V2 the game looks pretty sharp. Lens flares, nice textures, reflections, you name it, everything is included.
The difference with the first Motocross Madness is huge. You can play on better and higher resolutions with far more detail. Of Course they've included support for the latest 3D boards. To believe that, just take a look at the several screenshots.
Multiplayer included?
Yes, you can play over LAN, IP to IP, Serial Cable, and of course over the Net with Microsofts own 'Gaming Zone'. Playing a set of Motocross Madness 2 in multiplayer is extremely fun! I didn't experience any lag when I played the game on the Net but keep in mind that I'm on cable.
Bad Stuff?
Because no game is perfect Motocross Madness 2 has some bugs as well. When you drive around and you notice a small tree, you would think that you can ride over it. But no, you just crash against it. This is very annoying bug and hopefully will be fixed soon in an upcoming patch. When you use the good old keyboard as a controller, you might have some problems in the beginning with riding. I strongly recommend using either a joystick or a gamepad.
Conclusion
I just love Motocross Madness 2. It offers you solid gameplay, it's addicting, great visuals and good sound. The game is plagued with tons of bugs and that's definitely a good thing. If you're a motor freak or just a gamer that loves to perform all kinds of 'stunts' then this game is definitely what you need!
This game offers more features, more tracks and better tournaments! Even a track-editor in included so you can create your own tracks and import them into the game. If you're still not convinced, try the demo and I'm sure that you'll be asking for more.
I've played with my copy now for over 3 weeks and I've enjoyed every single bit! Motocross Madness 2 is my favourite game!
