A little Introduction

Since Command & Conquer: Tiberian Sun had a lot of success, game developer "Westwood Studios" created an expansion pack for the original, called Firestorm.
Unlike the other add-on releases of Westwood Studios, this is a rather hot one.

Featuring lots of new stuff like movies, units, campaigns, ...
The game continues after the death of NOD's leader Kane. Both sides suffered heavy losses during these hard years of combat.
Due to drastic changes in the climate, the way of living isn't what it used to be. Ion storms make radar contacts impossible and meteor showers destroy whole cities.
Since the death of Kane, who kept the Brotherhood together, the NOD troops are divided between different generals. Until supercomputer CABAL, who did Kanes reseach, began with a new propaganda trick.

The Gameplay

Everything is almost exactly the same like before. The story keep you playing just like Tiberian Sun did.

There are also a couple of new units. GDI players get to build and command mobile EMP cannons, long-range Juggernaut artillery units, and the mighty mobile war factory, which allows you to build military units at just about any location on the battlefield.

NOD players get a mobile stealth generator, a diabolical cyborg unit called the reaper, and their own version of the mobile war factory, dubbed the fist of NOD.
In addition, many of the original Tiberian Sun units have been upgraded or enhanced in this expansion pack or better 'mission disk', Firestorm.

Several new Missions?

Both sides have each nine new missions which are similar to Tiberian Sun, they take place all over the world.
There are two types of missions.

The first ones where you have to find and/or steal something and missions where you have to defend and eliminate the enemy camp.
I'd rather see some more variation but luckily these missions are pretty well balanced.
Sadly enough, some of the mission with only a couple of guys can be finished in about ten minutes.

Cutscenes

As expected the movies are again totaly awesome and this all takes place with cool actors and superb backgrounds and computervoices.
Only one word to describe that feeling: Awesome!
